Elmira Zherzdeva (born 6 March 1936, in Bolokhovo, Tula Oblast, USSR), is a Soviet chamber and pop singer (lyrical soprano), mostly known for the role of the Princess in the cult Soviet animation musical cartoons «The Bremen Town Musicians» (1969) and «On the Trail of the Bremen Town Musicians» (1973). After secondary school, Zherzdeva entered the Musical Academic College at the Moscow Conservatory. In 1958, she joined the opera choir of the All-Soviet Radio, then began working in the philharmonic department and the variety department of Mosconcert (the Moscow Concert Association) as a solo vocalist. She actively toured writhing the USSR with a repertoire of old romances and contemporary pop songs as well as represented the country on different occasions abroad, including some TV appearances, in Japan, Canada, Poland, Romania and Czechoslovakia. In 2008, Zherzdeva retired from music.
